Here is the testimonial of a student who travelled from Victoria for a holiday sewing with Sandy...

I have just spent the last week attending Sandy's Sewing School at Inverell. What a week it was!!! With the idea of a couple of quilts I wanted to tackle for a couple of special people in my life but feeling frustrated for lack of time and knowledge to get things started, I made the 14 hour trip to Inverell from Shepparton, Victoria.

We selected fabrics for the quilts and then the magic began. I was taught the techniques to turn a plan into reality.  Thru the week I also met the other ladies and young girls from Inverell.  The projects they were working on with Sandy were amazing. They are all so lucky to have Sandy in Inverell passing on her amazing knowledge and expertize. Her ideas, eye for detail and perfection are a credit to her.

So for anyone needing a break to catch up on some much loved sewing skills and to learn new ones, go to Inverell and spend time with Sandy. Not only will you learn so many things but she will fill your head with lots of ideas to go home with. I also went home with a partially made awsome quilt. Not only will Sandy show and teach you anything you want to know and do but she cooks dinner for you too!!

Play Day in the Studio Friday 20th June The project for the day was to make 2 quilt tops in the colour of the Iris flower using an innovative construction method to be quilted and given to residents of a local Nursing Home.
